About the Author

Kelsey Bareham grew up in the Pemberton Valley, half an hour away from Whistler Mountain. Her grandfather, Stefan Ples, was one of the pioneers of the Whistler ski hill back in the 1960's and worked for the original company, the Garibaldi Lift Company, for much of his life.

Kelsey spent her youth working on a llama and alpaca farm, Rainbow Forest Acres, where she wrote stories about the furry inhabitants that live there. The character of Wally is based on a real suri alpaca of the same name, who lives at the farm to this day.

Rainbow Forest Acres is located just outside of Pemberton, B.C. Kelsey has been writing and drawing for as long as she can remember. This is her first book.
